To celebrate Credit Union Day 2022, we donated $75,000 across five communities on behalf of our credit union partners. Copper State Credit Union selected Arizona Helping Hands to receive a $15,000 donation, and earlier this year, we joined the credit union to give our time at the Arizona Helping Hands facility.  

“To give Copper State Credit Union this opportunity to make a sizable charitable contribution to our long-term partner, really speaks volumes about Elan. We were able to see first-hand the impact Elan is providing to the community through their donations and volunteering at these local organizations. We are proud to call Elan our partner,” shared Robb Scott, President and CEO of Copper State Credit Union.

Arizona Helping Hands supports families and children on a foster care journey by providing essentials including clothing, beds, bedding, safety items, books and much more. This event focused on a special program: birthday dream bags. 

“Each of our birthday dream bags are personalized for each individual foster child and put together with lots of love. All foster children should receive the joy, self-esteem growth, and beautiful memories that a birthday celebration provides,” shared Bethany Eggleston, Vice President of Development & Marketing.

Throughout the afternoon, employees from Copper State Credit Union and Elan Credit Card assembled decorated birthday bags. Based on the age and interests of each child, volunteers collected three books and five age-appropriate gifts for each child. All items were wrapped and packaged in a hand-decorated gift bag with a birthday card. 

Elan Credit Card Data Analyst Rolando Russell shared, “As a new employee of Elan Credit Card, the opportunity to meet teammates in person while making a difference was an incredible experience. The birthday dream bags make children on their foster care journey feel special and I was proud to contribute my time to that gift.”
